The annual MegaCon convention in Orlando has come and gone for 2013, another year of fans gathering together at the Orange County Convention Center, eager to celebrate their love of comics, movies, and other pop culture.
This year’s headlining celebrity guests included the cast of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” along with popular voice actors from shows like “My Little Pony” and “Futurama.” But even the many attendees who didn’t brave the long lines wrapping the convention center floors for those popular panels had plenty of entertainment to enjoy, from browsing up and down the rows of exhibitors’ booths to engaging in the most enjoyable of all MegaCon pastimes: people watching.
It is always the cosplayers – those who show up dressed as their favorite characters – that offer the most entertainment. From Disney to DC and Marvel comics to anime and far beyond, without these costumed attendees, MegaCon would be a whole lot less fun. And this year, added to the mix was a hoard of undead unexpectedly stumbling through the convention center in a successful zombie walk.
Though all three days of the convention (March 15-17) were packed, our cameras were there only on Saturday, traditionally the busiest day. Check out some of the best of the sexy and the scary we spotted in the videos below featuring plenty of costumes and zombies, followed by photo highlights from around MegaCon 2013.
