Megatron walk-around character debuts at Universal Studios Hollywood for Transformers: The Ride 3D

Universal Studios Hollywood today debuted a new addition to Transformers: The Ride 3D in the form of the villainous Megatron, a larger-than-life walk-around character joining the California theme park.

Several Twitter users spotted this Decepticon, posting pictures of him on the lower lot in front of the attraction:

Megatron joins Optimus Prime and Bumblebee as walk-around characters reaching heights far above Universal Studios Hollywood guests, available as photo opportunities, as seen during the ride’s grand opening in May 2012:

Universal Orlando is currently building a version of Transformers: The Ride 3D to open later this year at their Universal Studios Florida theme park, where Optimus Prime and Bumblebee were also on hand for the official announcement of that project:
