New Fantasyland annual passholder preview details and dates announced for early November at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World today announced the details for three upcoming preview dates of select areas of New Fantasyland. In early November, active Walt Disney World annual passholders will have a chance to be among the first to freely explore the Magic Kingdom expansion and experience some of its new attractions and offerings.

UPDATE: Walt Disney World has changed the date on which passholders will need to sign up for previews. It’s now one week later, on October 15 due to “technical difficulties.”

Beginning on October 15, 2012 at noon ET, those interested can log on to the passholder section of Walt Disney World’s web site to register for a specific 3.5-hour time slot.

Dates and times for annual passholder previews are as follows:

Saturday, November 3, 2012
8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Up to 8 passholders can be registered simultaneously but all attending must have active passes. Upon signing up, passholders will choose one of two New Fantasyland preview itineraries:

Enchanted Tales With Belle Itinerary:

  • Take a tour of Be Our Guest RestaurantBe Our Guest Restaurant
  • Ride on Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid
  • Experience Enchanted Tales with Belle
  • Ariel’s Grotto Itinerary:

  • Take a tour of Be Our Guest RestaurantBe Our Guest Restaurant
  • Ride on Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid
  • Take photos and receive autographs from Ariel
  • Passholder preview registration is limited to one event per passholder. Those registered will receive an email confirmation which must be printed and brought to the park to gain admission. Electronic confirmation will not be accepted.

    Guests will be free to explore the area during the 3.5-hour window, including limited access to some food and beverage offerings. The Be Our Guest restaurant will be open for self-guided tours but won’t be serving food during previews.

    Select merchandise items will be for sale in New Fantasyland, but beginning today, the new Fantasyland Commemorative Collection is available online through October 14, 2012.

    Those interested in previewing New Fantasyland but are not Walt Disney World annual passholders will also get their chance beginning November 19 when the new area enters a general preview phase, followed by a grand opening on December 6. The Be Our Guest restaurant will also begin serving on November 19 with reservations already available.
