I have to say that I am so blown away by Buena Vista Street. You know, the last time I was in California I actually had a free ticket to to go to DCA if I wanted but DCA did not appeal to me in the least and I went to Disneyland instead even though I had to pay to get in. I just didn’t want to go to DCA at all as I felt it was junky inside.

Now, I am honestly looking at my budget and trying to think of some extra jobs I can work for some more cash to save up to fly out to Anaheim JUST go to to DCA. I really, really want to experience Buena Vista Street. I want to dance with Five and Dime. I want to hear the Newsies sing. I want to see the new statue of Uncle Walt.

I never, ever dreamed I would WANT to go to DCA…but now I do.

Thanks for the great information. The entertainment is awesome and at a very high level. The only thing that I dislike is the thumping beats at the Red Car News Boys show. Why? The music is great as it is, it doesn’t need to be dumbed down with a beat. I’ll probably never will visit California so thank you for sharing this.

Yep, I love it all, except for the out of place synthesizers and backbeats for Red Car News Boys. It reminds me of the cheap music they play on the Disney Channel all the time.

but maybe the tweens will like the music that way? I can’t wait to go back to DLR and see this, so looking forward to the shops, especially (and entertainment, but mostly shops, hehe). The last time we were in DCA (10/11) we had the best time. You could just tell there was a buzz in the air, but everything we did just balanced out perfectly and we were able to see and do everything w/o rush (Toy Story the exception we had to rush to get there). I can only imagine how awesome it will be with BVS and CarsLand (and Ghiradelli!). Thanks for all the photos and commentary, Ricky!

He did, though I was never able to grab a photo of him.

Was the volunteer man crying while “dancing” with the five and dime group?

      Nah, just making goofy faces.
