Comments for ‘Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion’ trumps ‘Epic Mickey 2’ in hype, with side-scrolling 16-bit style graphics for Nintendo 3DS

This game looks honestly better than epic mickey 2. Plus its a sequel to castle of illusion…. Plus I love the 16bit style….. but honestly I imagine this game being on the E-shop on the 3DS. I can’t imagine paying 40 dollars for this game.

Ok, there’s my reason to finally go and buy a 3DS. 😀 Power of Illusion looks great, I’m looking forward to checking it out!

I don’t understand video games. I remember Nintendo though, and I remember the Duck Tales game. But all the fancy ones they have today just are hard for me to wrap my head around. Too busy.

I was looking forward to Epic Mickey 2, but the 3DS version really has me excited. That having been said, this really looks more like World of Illusion than Castle of Illusion, especially that artist rendering with Mickey in the bubble underwater. It’d be nice if we could get some co-op play for the 3DS game, too.

I really hope this comes out for the Vita as well. It would be strangely ironic if Warren Spector, after learning the folly of releasing such an awesome game on a single home console, would once again make the same mistake with handheld consoles. Especially given the cross-console functionality possibilities between the PS3 and the Vita. It would be so awesome if things that you did in the Vita version affected things that happened in the PS3 version!

The difference is that the market share for the Vita is vastly inferior to that of the 3DS.
