Magical marriage proposal during One More Disney Day aided by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Walt Disney World

Early this morning, One More Disney Day wrapped up with both the Magic Kingdom in Florida and Disneyland Park in California having been open for 24 hours straight. Following yesterday’s welcome ceremony on a foggy morning, the Magic Kingdom began filling with thousands of fans, moving from an ordinary day into the extraordinary in its late night hours. And during the 24 hours the park was open, plenty of magical moments were made.

I’m still working on processing fun video and hundreds of photos from the late-night hours after midnight until the park’s closing at 6 a.m., but first I wanted to share a particular magical moment captured by our photographer, Michael Gavin.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs were meeting and greeting with park guests throughout the special evening. And that meet-and-greet became extra special early this morning, March 1, 2012, as One More Disney Day turned into a life-changing Disney event for one couple. Just before 1 a.m. in Fantasyland, Austin A. got down on one knee, presented a ring, and proposed to his girlfriend Jenny L., both from Atlanta.

With excited guests, Cast Members, and the Fantasyland characters looking on, Jenny said yes, overwhelmed with emotion and joy.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs were elated at the romantic occasion.

Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings caught a similar moment more than twelve hours earlier in front of Cinderella Castle. It seems One More Disney Day not only gave guests a chance to live it up for one full day in the parks, but for some it offered a chance to plan many years to come.

Check back here later today (or early tomorrow) for a full recap of the late-night fun that had guests literally dancing in the Magic Kingdom streets.
