There is music planned to accompany Mater’s ride. Not Luigi’s tires & it’s really loud. Rte 66 is the same length as Maint Street USA. And there are 3 entrances to Carsland which will assist the crowds unlike WWOHP which was initially a cul de sac. Of course I got the real look when I was taking to the 8th floor of Tower of Terror, but wasn’t allowed to take photos. I will tell you it looks amazing
Can’t wait to see your ElecTRONica tribute. I too am a huge fan of the event and I’ll know that your video will capture what made the party so great.
Its all just perspective. From the Blue Sky Cellar patio, OF COURSE the street looks small, but the main road leading all the way down to the courthouse really IS long and is like it is in the movie. The town is quite big, but from the patio view, the street is just looks all squished together.
If what you say is true, then it’s forced perspective in a bad way. From the end of Main Street USA, the street looks quite long. Same goes for the entrance street into Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Why then would Radiator Springs be designed to look small from its entrance? Shouldn’t it be exactly the opposite? Perceived size is just as important, if not more so, than actual size. And to my eyes, looking into Cars Land in person for the first time, it appeared to be smaller than I had imagined it would be. It’s still a very large area. It’s just small-ER than I had imagined the town Radiator Springs would be.
