We first launched Theme Parks in 3D four months ago, with the promise of more 3-D photos from theme parks to come. Now the long-anticipated major update to our mini-site is finally here!
Today, we are relaunching our section devoted to 3D pictures taken throughout Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, and beyond with literally thousands of new pictures, many in crisp and clear high quality.
More Locations, Better Quality
Our 3D photos will now take you to theme parks in Florida, California, and Paris. The list of theme parks and resorts now included at Theme Parks in 3D is: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney Orlando, Walt Disney World Hotels, Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney Anaheim, Disneyland Resort Hotels, Universal Orlando CityWalk, SeaWorld Orlando, Discovery Cove, Disneyland Park Paris, Walt Disney Studios Park Paris, and Disney Village Paris.
In addition, we’ve brought our 3D cameras to special events and other locations including the grand openings of The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure and Star Tours: The Adventures Continue as well as the 2011 “What’s Next” presentation at Cars Land, The Ellen DeGeneres Show taping at Universal Orlando, and American Idol Scotty McCreery at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We also take you to the Atlantis Resort in The Bahamas – in 3D!
The thousands of new photos were taken with combination of pictures taken using the Nintendo 3DS camera as well as a Fuji W3, which offers even higher quality images. You’ll find both sets of photos labeled throughout our 3D galleries.
Easy Browsing, No Downloads Needed!
In addition, Theme Parks in 3D has been redesigned from the ground up to be faster-loading and fully compatible with the built-in Nintendo 3DS web browser. So you no longer have to download MPO files, copy them to an SD card, and transfer them to your 3DS. Instead, on your 3DS, just browse through the many galleries filled with 3D photos from theme parks and resorts and simply tap on the thumbnail for the image you want to view in 3D. The Nintendo 3DS will do all the work for you, easily loading the 3D photo for glasses-free viewing and even offering the option to save your favorites to your 3DS for fast future access.
For those not browsing on a Nintendo 3DS, you can still right-click the images and buttons to download MPO files or use our Red/Blue links to flip through all our photos and view them in 3D using traditional anaglyph glasses. (We also have the Side-by-Side option for those of you who can get your eyes to focus.)

And with this major update, we’ve set the groundwork for making future 3D photo updates easier for us, so keep checking back to Theme Parks in 3D for more fun 3D photos!
