First Look: LEGOLAND Florida models for Washington DC themed miniland, plus a ‘walk in the park’ video with GM Adrian Jones

The first LEGO brick models featuring the sites and monuments of Washington D.C. have been installed at LEGOLAND Florida. Opening October 15, 2011 outside Orlando in Winter Haven, LEGOLAND Florida will feature rides and plenty of larger-than-life LEGO models, including these building recreations.

LEGOLAND Florida also released a “Walk in the Park” video featuring General Manager Adrian Jones offering a look at the types of attractions that will be featured in the theme park when it opens in October:

  1. This looks much better than I had imagined. It might create some competition in the area among the theme parks. The only problem is its location and getting there from Orlando, unless you have a car.

    I agree with you, Grumpy. I get that the old Cypress Gardens site was probably cheap, but it’s quite far from the rest of the action in Orlando. Still, I hope it will do well.
