The first full trailer for “Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides” first premiered today to a lucky group of fans during a special event at the Disneyland Resort. The film’s director Rob Marshall was on hand to introduce the trailer to be shown in 3D for the first time ever in public.

This fourth “Pirates of the Caribbean” film not only brings back Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow and Geoffery Rush as Hector Barbossa but also introduces Penelope Cruz and Ian McShane to the franchise as new characters. The trailer shows off a whole new world of adventures seeking the Fountain of Youth, with the group encountering zombies and mermaids this time around.

The special event at Disneyland included early access to the Disneyland theme park, hundreds of fans being sworn to the “Pirate’s Oath,” and even a special visit from Captain Jack (though not Johnny Depp), shown in the photos below, posted by @DisneyPictures this morning:
