Below are the two types of positions that we are hiring for. Note that you do not have to live near the theme parks in order to apply for these positions. However, if you are a theme park local or Annual Passholder, please let us know in your application.

For both positions, we have exciting opportunities for experienced, visionary, and driven journalists. Responsibilities will include story idea creation and pitching, written reporting, and more, which we have outlined below. 

We are searching for great storytellers who bring energy, creativity, and intelligence to every news report and story. Interested candidates should be self-starters who are able to work under deadline pressure. The right candidate will actively and effectively be able to use social media with an appropriate tone and voice. The ability to focus and work well with others is vital.

While formal training in writing and reporting is welcomed, it is not necessarily expected, as long as you can demonstrate expertise in storytelling, plus a passion for Disney Parks and Resorts, Disney Cruise Line, Universal parks, Disney movies, and more. 

Below are the responsibilities for each position. Note that we are hiring for multiple full-time and part-time positions at this time.

Full-Time Freelance Sr. Reporter & Assistant Editor

  • Must have a passion for Disney Parks & Universal Parks, with thorough knowledge of the theme park industry. Also must have generalized knowledge of movies, TV shows, merchandise, food, Disney Cruise Line, and of The Walt Disney Company as a whole. 
  • Able to write both news and OpEd articles. Both writing and editing skills required.
  • Must be detail oriented, and interested in contributing new article ideas and topics to the rest of the team.
  • Must be organized and able to work with a team while also being independent and a self-starter.
  • Ability to work a total of five days per week including at least one weekend day required every week (Such as a Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday scheduled). However, if you would rather work both weekend days and three weekdays every week, we can discuss that schedule further.

Part-Time Freelance Sr. Reporter & Asst. Editor

  • Must have a passion for Disney Parks & Universal Parks, with thorough knowledge of the theme park industry. Also must have generalized knowledge of movies, TV shows, merchandise, food, Disney Cruise Line, and of The Walt Disney Company as a whole. 
  • Able to write both news and OpEd articles. Both writing and editing skills required
  • Must be detail oriented, and interested in contributing new article ideas and topics to the rest of the team.
  • Must be organized and able to work with a team while also being independent and a self-starter.
  • Available to contribute on a part-time basis.
