2026 is almost over, but that isn’t stopping thousands of families from already booking their 2027 Disney hotel rooms, especially as demand continues to climb.

Disney Resort Hotel Room Bookings to Hit Capacity in 2027: Here’s Why

Disneyland Paris has opened bookings for newly renovated Disney Sequoia Lodge rooms for arrivals beginning February 19, 2027, giving guests their first chance to reserve the hotel’s next-generation accommodations. The rooms are part of a phased overhaul of the three-star resort, with designs inspired by Bambi, Pocahontas, and Pixar’s Brave.

For travelers already mapping out a 2027 Disneyland Paris vacation, the booking change creates a new decision point: reserve a renovated room now or wait as the hotel’s wider transformation continues. What it does not establish is that prices are “skyrocketing” or inventory is disappearing. Disneyland Paris has not published evidence supporting either claim, so guests should treat rate and availability changes visible during booking as live inventory rather than proof of a broader surge.

Disney Sequoia Lodge Refurbished Rooms Enter the Booking System

Disneyland Paris previously said the first phase of work covers all rooms in the hotel’s five outdoor lodges, set among its sequoia trees. In April, the resort confirmed three room themes—Bambi, Pocahontas, and Brave—and said guests would be able to stay in the renovated accommodations during the first quarter of 2027.

The official Disney Sequoia Lodge hotel page now promotes “newly renovated rooms,” describing them as woodland-inspired retreats with contemporary décor.

Inside the Magic previously covered Disney’s original Sequoia Lodge reimagining announcement, including the plan to keep the hotel operating while work advances in phases. That operating strategy matters for 2027 guests because a renovated bedroom does not mean the entire resort will have finished its makeover.

February 19 Brings New Rooms—and More Refurbishment

The February 19, 2027 arrival date also coincides with another stage of work at Disney Sequoia Lodge. Inside the Magic previously reported that Redwood Bar and Lounge and the Northwest Passage shop are expected to become unavailable as refurbishment moves into additional hotel spaces.

Disney’s broader plan extends well beyond guest rooms. The company has said the lobby, restaurants, shopping locations, and recreation areas will progressively be renovated and redesigned, while the hotel continues welcoming guests.

That distinction is important when comparing Disney hotels. A family booking one of the refreshed rooms may receive the newest accommodation product while still encountering an active refurbishment elsewhere on property. Disneyland Paris says Disney Sequoia Lodge is about a 15-minute walk or eight-minute free shuttle ride from the parks, keeping its location useful even while the work continues.

The New Look Expands Beyond Bambi

Disney Sequoia Lodge has carried its woodland identity since 1992, and Disney is not discarding it. Instead, Imagineers are broadening the storytelling beyond the Bambi touches long associated with the hotel.

Disney says the renovated rooms will celebrate Bambi (1942), Pocahontas (1995), and Brave (2012), tying each design to characters and stories connected with forest settings.

The approach fits a larger Disneyland Paris hotel strategy. Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel reopened after its transformation in 2021, while the Disneyland Hotel unveiled its royal reimagining in 2024. Inside the Magic has also tracked changes around the Disneyland Hotel and other resort construction, illustrating how hotel investment has become one piece of a destination-wide refresh.

Booking Early Does Not Guarantee a Lower Rate

The opening of a new booking window naturally creates urgency for travelers who want a specific room type or travel date. But there is an important line between availability pressure and a confirmed price spike.

Disneyland Paris has not announced that refurbished Sequoia Lodge rooms will undergo extraordinary rate increases because bookings have opened, nor has it released data showing that renovated inventory is being “wiped out” by mass demand. Prices can vary by date, package, room type, and availability, so travelers should compare the actual offer presented by Disneyland Paris before treating social-media urgency as a pricing trend.

Guests should also consider the construction tradeoff. Inside the Magic’s coverage of the upcoming bar and shop closures gives travelers another factor to weigh against the appeal of a freshly renovated room. For some families, being among the first to stay in the new accommodations may matter most; others may prefer to wait for more of the hotel’s common spaces to be completed.

Sequoia Lodge Is One Piece of a Changing Disneyland Paris

The hotel project is unfolding during a much wider reinvention of Disneyland Paris. The resort has been reshaping Disney Village, and Inside the Magic has documented the district’s changing retail lineup, including the replacement of its former Disney Store with Disney Wonders.

The parks are changing, too. Walt Disney Studios Park became Disney Adventure World in March 2026, adding another major piece to the resort’s long-term expansion. Inside the Magic has followed that transformation into Disney Adventure World as Disneyland Paris adds and refreshes attractions, entertainment, dining, retail, and infrastructure across the destination.

For guests targeting 2027, that means a Sequoia Lodge reservation is being made against a resort that is still evolving. The new rooms offer a clearer picture of what Disney wants the hotel to become, but they are not the final stage.

Disneyland Paris has not announced a completion date for the entire Disney Sequoia Lodge transformation. For now, February 19, 2027 is the key date for travelers who specifically want the renovated rooms. Guests should verify live rates and room categories directly through Disneyland Paris, review refurbishment notices before paying, and keep watching for Disney’s next update on when the rest of the lodge will complete its transition.
