Free Entry Into Halloween Horror Nights? Here’s How!

Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights fans have one more day to try for a free way into the 2026 event. Tampa Bay radio station Q105 is giving listeners a chance to win a pair of Halloween Horror Nights tickets, with the station’s posted contest window running through September 11.

That makes today the final scheduled day to enter. Q105 says listeners should tune in during the 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. hours and wait for the cue to call, creating two narrow listening windows for fans hoping to attend without buying their own event admission.

Q105’s Halloween Horror Nights Giveaway Ends Today

The Q105 promotion began September 8 and runs through September 11, according to the station’s contest page. Entry is not a standard online sweepstakes: listeners have to hear the on-air cue, call the station, and be the designated caller identified by the on-air personality.

Q105 says the prize package is for two people and includes a one-night Halloween Horror Nights single-night ticket and one day of Universal Orlando regular parking access for one vehicle. The prize is provided by Universal Orlando Resort, and travel must be completed during eligible 2026 Halloween Horror Nights event dates by November 1 or the prize is forfeited.

For anyone considering the giveaway, timing is the real catch. Missing the station’s cue means missing that particular opportunity to call, and the posted entry period closes today.

A Free Ticket Opportunity Comes During a Busy HHN Season

The giveaway arrives while Halloween Horror Nights 35 is already underway at Universal Studios Florida. Universal officially opened the event on August 28, with the 35th-anniversary season scheduled for 49 select nights through November 1.

Demand has already affected some guests’ options. Inside the Magic reported that the September 6 event night sold out, while earlier in the summer some premium inventory and upgrades had also become unavailable. Guests weighing the giveaway against purchasing admission should still check Universal directly for current ticket availability, because inventory and event details can change by date. Earlier ticket and upgrade sellouts also make advance planning especially important for guests targeting a specific night.

Halloween Horror Nights 35 Has 10 Haunted Houses

Winning is only the first hurdle. Once inside, guests face a packed lineup built around 10 haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment, themed food and beverages, merchandise, and select attractions operating during the event.

Universal’s 2026 lineup mixes established entertainment properties with original Horror Nights concepts. The houses include Stranger Things, Sinners, Hellraiser, Evil Dead Burn, Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness, Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control, Cybergoria, H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular!, INVASION: Alien Abduction, and MADLANDS: Caged Cannibals.

Inside the Magic followed the complete HHN 35 roster as Universal revealed the houses, including the return of familiar event characters and original concepts. This year’s overarching setting is the Infernal Carnival of Nightmares, with Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow positioned as its ringmasters.

Universal says what became Halloween Horror Nights began in 1991 as Fright Nights, a three-night event with one haunted house. Thirty-five years later, the Orlando version has expanded into a multi-week separately ticketed event occupying Universal Studios Florida after normal daytime operations.

The Giveaway Could Remove One Part of the HHN Cost Equation

The key appeal is straightforward: a verified winner receives admission for two rather than having to purchase those single-night tickets out of pocket. Q105’s posted package also includes regular parking for one vehicle, an important detail because the station notes that free self-parking after 6 p.m. does not apply on Halloween Horror Nights event nights.

There are still limitations. Q105 states that Halloween Horror Nights is separately ticketed, occurs rain or shine, and does not offer rain checks, returns or refunds under the terms published with the promotion. Event dates, attractions, entertainment, capacity and other details can also change.

Guests who do attend should also understand how HHN affects the daytime park. Universal Studios Florida closes to regular daytime guests at 5 p.m. on event nights as the park transitions to Halloween Horror Nights, and Universal has implemented updated Stay & Scream procedures for eligible guests. Those operational changes matter when building a full day around an evening at HHN.

What Fans Need to Do Before the Final Q105 Window Closes

For listeners who want a shot at the tickets, the remaining action is simple but time-sensitive: listen to Q105 during the 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. hours on September 11, wait for the announced cue, and call as instructed. Q105 says the designated caller who reaches the contest line will be selected, subject to verification.

The giveaway does not guarantee entry simply for calling, and the station’s published terms should be reviewed before participating. Fans who do not win can still look to Universal Orlando’s official Halloween Horror Nights information for current event details and ticket information.

With Halloween Horror Nights continuing through November 1, the season itself has weeks left. Q105’s contest does not. Unless the station announces an extension or another promotion, September 11 is the final published day for this particular chance to turn a radio cue into admission for two to Universal Orlando’s biggest Halloween event.
