Right now, Walt Disney World Resort in Central Florida is experiencing technical issues, resulting in the indefinite closure of the Slinky Dog Dash ride in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Meanwhile, another Disney World theme park across the globe has announced an immediate refurbishment closure for one of its Toy Story attractions: Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop.
Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop, located in the Worlds of Pixar land at Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park), closed for refurbishment on September 3, 2026. The Disneyland Paris Resort ride is expected to reopen on September 10, 2026.
On Thursday, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @DLPReport shared a photo of construction walls surrounding the towering attraction at Disney Adventure World:

Disneyland Paris Resort guests aren’t expected to encounter any visible changes to Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop when the Disney Adventure World ride reopens on September 10. This short refurbishment is likely for simple maintenance work on the attraction technology and/or retouching decorative elements of the Toy Story ride and its queue.

Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop is one Disney Park attraction that does not exist at either of the United States parks, Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort. The ride opened in Walt Disney Studios Park (now Disney Adventure World) at Disneyland Paris Resort in 2010, followed by an attraction of the same name at Hong Kong Disneyland in 2011.
Disneyland Paris Resort’s official description of the attraction reads:
“At Disney Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop Sarge has enlisted you to his little green regiment. But first you need to learn to parachute. So buckle up recruit, follow your orders and brace yourself for a thrilling 82-foot drop above an army base full of lookout towers and over-sized green toy soldiers. It’s as if you’re part of one big play set!”
