At the end of May, Inside the Magic reported that a person had died at Magic Kingdom Park on April 24, 2026. However, the following “dead person” call was not reported in the public law enforcement scanner feed due to what scanner monitoring outlet WDWActiveCrime called a “feed outage.” Now, the attorney for the family of the person who passed away is speaking out.

Between April 24 and April 25, 2026, 64 emergency calls in the Walt Disney World Resort area were not publicly tracked due to a technical issue with the scanner feed. According to scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime on X (formerly known as Twitter), this included law enforcement’s response to a “dead person” call at Magic Kingdom Park on April 24. The account received the report after requesting all records related to the approximately 24-hour outage.

April now includes a Dead Person call for Magic Kingdom.

The updated call log revealed that law enforcement received a call about a “dead person” at Magic Kingdom Park at 11:46 a.m. on April 24, 2026. It remains unclear exactly where in the Central Florida Disney park the incident occurred, as the response location was logged as 1460 Magic Kingdom Dr, Bay Lake–the general address that law enforcement uses to track calls at the Magic Kingdom.

As Inside the Magic reported at the time, the identities of guests who pass away at Walt Disney World Resort are rarely publicized, except in cases of suicides or when the deceased’s loved ones choose to speak out. Although the person involved in this emergency response has not been identified, their family’s attorney has issued a statement.

On July 7, Rose Mary Parham of Parham Law Firm, LLC, sent the following statement to our friends at Disney Fanatic, identifying her firm as representing the family of the deceased Magic Kingdom Park guest:

“Our firm represents the family of the deceased.  This was a heartbreaking loss, and the family deserves a full, fair, and transparent investigation into every aspect of the events surrounding their loved one’s death.  We look forward to obtaining all of the relevant facts and ensuring that every aspect of this tragedy is thoroughly examined.  Out of respect for the family and the ongoing investigation, we will have no further comment at this time.”

Inside the Magic will report any additional developments to this story if they arise.

The Inside the Magic team sends its condolences to the family of the person who passed away at Magic Kingdom Park on April 24.
