Overnight, construction equipment appeared around the Swiss Family Treehouse attraction in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park. For right now, the self-guided walkthrough experience is still open for Walt Disney World Resort guests to enjoy.

On July 6, WDWNT reported that construction scrim had appeared next to the Swiss Family Treehouse in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom. The scrim facing guests on the Adventureland side has trees printed on it, making it nearly disappear into the dense greenery of the surrounding area.

The other side of the scrim, which is more visible as guests traverse the Swiss Family Treehouse, is solid green. The fabric appears to be hanging from some kind of scaffolding, but it’s unclear exactly what crews are working on in the area.

Despite the obvious signs of construction, the Swiss Family Treehouse remains open for Central Florida Disney Park guests to enjoy. The scaffolding and scrim aren’t blocking any decorative or interactive elements of the six-story treehouse, which is inspired by Swiss Family Robinson (1960). Guests can still enjoy 360-degree views of Magic Kingdom Park from the upper levels of the walkthrough Adventureland attraction.

Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t shared any details about the ongoing refurbishment in the jungle near the Swiss Family Treehouse, which is normal for maintenance projects that don’t significantly impact the theme park guest experience. The official website of the Central Florida Disney vacation destination doesn’t list any upcoming closures for the interactive Adventureland attraction.

Disney most recently refurbished the Swiss Family Treehouse beginning in late 2024. The all-ages, opening-day Magic Kingdom Park attraction reopened in early 2025, with the long-broken waterwheel effect finally restored.
