Disneyland Paris Recovers From Historic Heatwave
France was placed under its highest weather alert during the heatwave, and Disneyland Paris felt the impact across virtually every corner of the resort. The overwhelming majority condemned guests for entering the World of Frozen fountain, with many describing the behavior as “disrespectful,” “shameful,” and “tacky.” Questions were raised as to why cast members had not intervened sooner, with some calling for fines or temporary park bans. Fans of the attraction were particularly vocal, with one commenter writing that seeing guests in the fountain while dressed as Anna would have “made me cry,” while another joked that Olaf must have stopped his meet-and-greet because “he melted.”
However, a sizeable portion of commenters took a more sympathetic view of the circumstances. Many pointed to the record-breaking temperatures, with several visitors insisting conditions felt even more intense than a summer trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Central Florida. Critics argued the resort lacked sufficient shaded areas, cooling stations, and misting zones, suggesting Disney bore some responsibility. Disney Enchanted Christmas is already one of Disneyland Paris’ most beloved seasonal events, transforming the resort each winter with sweeping decorations, exclusive entertainment, character meet-and-greets in festive costumes, holiday dining, and limited-edition merchandise. The addition of a Christmas-themed World of Frozen — a land already built around snow, ice, and winter wonder — feels almost tailor-made for the season. Disney Enchanted Christmas 2026 runs from November 7, 2026, through January 6, 2027.
