Disney is working on another Indiana Jones addition for Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Indiana Jones has long had a presence at Walt Disney World. Disney’s Hollywood Studios still houses the long-running Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, which recreates scenes from Raiders of the Lost Ark with pyrotechnics, stunt work, and live-action effects.

The franchise is also expected to expand elsewhere across the resort. Disney previously confirmed plans to replace DINOSAUR at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with a new Indiana Jones attraction as part of the Tropical Americas overhaul currently underway at the park.

Now, another smaller Indiana Jones addition appears to be moving forward at Hollywood Studios.

Another Indiana Jones Fixture Quietly Added to Hollywood Studios

A new filing has surfaced in the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District database, pointing to activity near the exit of the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The project is listed under the name “Project Fedora” – a clear reference to Indy’s famous headwear – and references the address 253 Cypress Dr, a backstage-adjacent area positioned between the stunt show’s exit pathway and Backlot Express.

The location first drew attention earlier this spring after portable planters appeared around part of the space. Since then, some vegetation has been removed, although Disney has not publicly acknowledged any work in the area.

Based on the footprint listed in the filing, the project appears relatively small in scale. At roughly 202 square feet, the addition is unlikely to be a major attraction or dining location.

Instead, the size points more toward a kiosk-style offering — potentially a small snack stand or merchandise location themed to Indiana Jones.

No construction permit has been filed yet, and there are currently no reports of major walls or visible construction in the area. Guests passing the stunt show may simply notice the cleared space for now.

The update arrives months after the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular sparked concern among fans following a serious onstage incident in December 2025. During a performance, a 400-pound prop boulder reportedly veered off course and rolled toward the audience. Veteran cast member Robert Herrick intervened and was injured stopping it.

Disney later confirmed the stunt sequence would be modified following a safety review. The incident fueled speculation online that Disney could eventually retire the decades-old show altogether, especially with broader redevelopment plans continuing across Hollywood Studios.

This latest project suggests Disney still sees long-term value in keeping the surrounding area tied to Indiana Jones rather than phasing the franchise out of the park entirely.

Hollywood Studios is already in the middle of a major reshuffle. Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo closed in June 2025, clearing space in Grand Avenue for Disney’s planned Monsters, Inc. land featuring its first-ever suspended coaster.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith also closed earlier this year ahead of its Muppets retheme. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is set to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 26, 2026, alongside the new Walt Disney Studios courtyard. The latter is inspired by the Disney studios in Burbank. Once finished, it will feature the Magic of Disney Animation, Drawn to Wonderland, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! – plus the return of the iconic Sorcerer’s Hat.
