After construction walls appeared around parts of the Transportation & Ticket Center (TTC) last August, Walt Disney World Resort finally appears to be wrapping up the refurbishment project on the gateway to the Magic Kingdom. The latest update comes just weeks after crews installed the most recent round of construction walls around portions of the TTC.

In August 2025, construction barriers went up around three ticket booths at the TTC, where guests arrive on trams from the Magic Kingdom parking area. From there, they can purchase Disney Park tickets and board Monorail transportation to Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Watercraft transportation is also available to the Magic Kingdom.

Over the last eight to nine months, construction crews have worked on the TTC ticket booth areas in phases, typically blocking off three at a time to allow Walt Disney World Resort guests to continue to purchase theme park tickets. When the first round of walls disappeared, they revealed that the quarter-century-old railings had been removed and new neutral gray pavement had replaced the formerly red ground. In place of permanent railings, Disney is using portable stanchions to switch up queue areas based on crowd flow.

This week, construction walls arrived at the final set of ticket booths at the TTC. BlogMickey shared this photo on Facebook:

The affected booths are in the center, forcing guests to navigate around the plywood barriers on the right or left side to purchase tickets and access watercraft or Monorail transportation to Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Walt Disney World Resort has not publicly acknowledged this refurbished project or released an estimated end date for the construction. Disney recently announced that it will add a fourth ferry boat, the Meg Gilbert Crofton, to its TTC to Magic Kingdom Park route in 2027. This will help speed up transportation between the TTC and Magic Kingdom Park as the original Central Florida Disney park undergoes its largest transformation ever, with the addition of the Cars (2006)-inspired Piston Peak National Park to Frontierland and the Disney Villains land “beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
