Once again, construction walls and scrim fabric are covering a building in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park. This is the structure’s third refurbishment project in less than a year, with no word from Disneyland Resort on why repeated maintenance work is necessary. Here’s what Southern California Disney Park guests need to know.
Repeated Construction in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park
Scaffolding and fabric scrim first appeared on the front and right side of Edelweiss Snacks, a kiosk in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park, last summer. That project wrapped up quickly, with few noticeable changes to the building beyond some cosmetic upkeep. The Quick-Service dining location continued serving guests throughout that construction period.

Then, in February 2026, Disneyland Resort announced that Edelweiss Snacks would close for refurbishment. Presumably, work also needed to be done on the inside of the building at this time. The Quick-Service dining kiosk reopened on March 5, once again showing little signs of change beyond some paint touch-ups. After both refurbishments, the menu remained unchanged.
Now, Edelweiss Snacks is under construction again.
Edelweiss Snacks Barricaded Again

On Tuesday, WDWNT reported that Edelweiss Snacks is once again surrounded by construction walls and scaffolding wrapped in beige scrim. The outlet shared this photo on Facebook:
The Quick-Service dining location continues to serve guests through a window, offering its usual menu of turkey legs, bratwurst, frozen drinks, fountain beverages, and more.

Disneyland Resort has not commented publicly on the latest Edelweiss Snacks refurbishment or explained why the building has undergone so much work in the last year. As of now, it doesn’t seem like the park plans to close the snack kiosk again, but that could change if any structural issues are discovered during the upcoming construction.
