Multiple videos circulating on social media appear to show a half-naked man using a large suitcase to force his way into a family’s hotel room at Walt Disney World Resort. The incident occurred sometime this weekend at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, a Value Resort hotel connected to Disney’s Pop Century Resort and the Disney Skyliner.

This weekend, footage emerged of an allegedly intoxicated man slamming a suitcase into a door in the Little Mermaid (1989) section of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. TikTok user @wdwactivecrime shared this clip:

Another Walt Disney World Resort guest, @disneybaebie on TikTok, also posted a video of the incident, writing: “This is what I see [walking] back to my room.”

This video contained audio from the incident, showing the man screaming and banging on the hotel room door. The guest filming speculated that the man’s family had kicked him out of the room after he became overly intoxicated, but that has not been officially confirmed. The video also showed several other concerned Disney Resort hotel guests watching or filming the man.

@disneybaebie confirmed that Walt Disney World Resort security and local law enforcement responded to the incident at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

“Luckily security and the police came shortly after the chaos and Disney manager came to assist too,” she wrote.

It’s unclear if the man or any of the occupants of the locked room at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort were removed from the property following the incident over the weekend. Given that law enforcement responded to the situation, it’s unlikely that the man involved escaped without, at minimum, a temporary trespass warning (ban) from Walt Disney World Resort property.

Neither Walt Disney World Resort nor local law enforcement has issued public statements about the incident.

As the videos went viral on social media, many Disney Parks fans said they felt for the family in the affected room at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

“How sad,” @breschubring981 wrote on TikTok. “This is someone’s magical vacation.”

“You know inside is a woman who planned it, booked it, bought the matching family shirts, and here he is ruining the whole thing,” @elesgee613 replied.

Guests who witness anything suspicious during their Walt Disney World Resort vacations should avoid intervening and alert the nearest cast member. They can page security and, if necessary, local law enforcement to respond to the situation.
