Walt Disney World Resort has announced a widespread refurbishment that will impact guests staying at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort beginning in May 2026. Here’s what Central Florida Disney Park guests need to know.
Refurbishment at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort

On March 9, Walt Disney World Resort updated its website to note that Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort will undergo room maintenance from late May 2026 through January 2027. As with similar refurbishments at other Disney Resort hotels, the work will be done in phases to allow guests to continue booking rooms and staying at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort throughout the eight-month project.
Walt Disney World Resort warns guests staying at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort that they may hear or see construction activity during the day. However, Disney typically tries to avoid nighttime disruptions and conducts the noisiest projects during the hours when most guests are at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

Some walkways around the Value Resort hotel may be closed or modified during certain portions of the eight-month room refurbishment project. When this happens, Disney will install signs and provide alternate routes.
In the late 2010s and early 2020s, Walt Disney World Resort reimagined rooms across its Value Resort hotels, adding wooden flooring, pull-down Murphy beds, and modern finishes. It’s unclear whether the upcoming project is a second stage of that project or is for hidden infrastructure maintenance.
What Isn’t Changing

Walt Disney World Resort doesn’t anticipate that this project will impact bus transportation, dining, shopping, and other amenities at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. The Fantasia Pool, Duck Pond Pool, and kiddie pool are expected to remain open throughout the room refurbishment.
Similar refurbishments have not been announced for All-Star Movies’ sister resorts, All-Star Sports and All-Star Music.
