One Disney park has dropped some major changes to its parade, altering both the soundtrack and several floats during its hiatus.
While all Disney parks eventually move on from their parade, they rarely introduce major changes to existing shows. When changes are made, they typically involve eliminating elements, such as the removal of the Brave (2012) float in Festival of Fantasy, the reintroduction of the Frozen (2013) float and the new look for Tinker Bell in Disneyland’s Paint the Night parade upon its return in 2025.

But today, Disney revealed that one parade underwent a mini makeover during its holiday hiatus.
A Million Splashes of Colour Undergoes Mini Transformation
A Million Splashes of Colour returned to Disneyland Paris today, where it debuted an updated soundtrack and several reworked floats.
According to DLP Report, the parade – which “takes guests on a journey through time to discover the stories of Disney Animation and Pixar” – has added several new props inspired by the likes of The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) and Chicken Little (2005) to its existing floats.
A fourth mini float has also been added, specifically for Mickey Mouse.

Unlike your standard Disney park parade, A Million Splashes of Colour proceeds down Main Street, U.S.A. before halting in the Central Plaza before Sleeping Beauty Castle, where the likes of Mickey, Timon, Joy, and Mirabel descend from their floats and perform on miniature stages.
The soundtrack to these performances has also changed, with DLP Report claiming that it is now “less chaotic.”

Notably, A Million Splashes of Colour didn’t exactly receive glowing reviews upon its debut.
When Disney announced its return for 2025, fans were quick to share their disdain on social media. “Chat wait does this mean we are getting the s****y decorations back for a 3rd year,” asked one X user. “All that time since last edition and they still didn’t manage to finish painting the floats,” joked another.
The good news is that Disney appears to have (finally) listened to the criticism and given A Million Splashes of Colour a much needed glowup.
Parades at Disneyland Paris
Unlike Disneyland Resort, where you currently can’t find a daytime parade (no, The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade does not count), Disneyland Paris currently has another parade in addition to A Million Splashes of Colour.
Disney Stars on Parade features floats inspired by the likes of Finding Nemo (2003), Sleeping Beauty (1959), and The Lion King (1994). It follows a more traditional approach to a Disney parade, proceeding through the park without pausing to allow characters to perform on stages.

It has also faced its fair share of issues over the years, with the Finding Nemo float – specifically, the section designed to look like the sea turtle Crush – renowned for its frequent malfunctions.
