The first official trailer for Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord has arrived, giving fans a proper look at the former Sith Lord’s new animated adventure.

Per StarWars.com, Maul – Shadow Lord is “set after the events of The Clone Wars” and finds Maul plotting “to rebuild his criminal syndicate on a planet untouched by the Empire.”

“There, he crosses paths with a disillusioned young Jedi Padawan, who could be the apprentice he is seeking, that will aid him in his relentless pursuit for revenge,” it adds.

At the center of it all is Sam Witwer, returning to voice Maul just as he did in The Clone Wars and Rebels. His decades-long association with the character gives Shadow Lord a bridge to past animated Star Wars while charting new territory for the Dathomirian ex-Sith.
