Disney World Guest Panics During Character Meet-And-Greet Gone Wrong

A recent viral Instagram video shows the moment a Disney character meet-and-greet went horribly wrong.

Instagram user @aspoonfullofsugar77 recently reposted a video of her young daughter meeting Vampirina, a Disney Junior character, in Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s unclear when the footage was taken, but the Animation Courtyard permanently closed in September 2025, so it must be at least a few months old.

The Disney character meet-and-greet begins as they almost always do. Vampirina leans down and opens her arms to embrace the excited little girl in a hug, and the young Disney Park guest can hardly contain her excitement.

After the pair hug, the little girl pulls away from Vampirina and looks briefly at her mouth before covering both of her eyes with her hands, screaming, and running away.

In the caption, the little girl’s mom explained that she didn’t realize what happened until her daughter spent the rest of the day saying she “saw a person” in Vampirina’s mouth.

The video went viral, amassing nearly one million likes and thousands of comments. Many shared their own memories of character meet-and-greets gone wrong.

“I still remember being little and meeting the Easter bunny,” @katbrat21 wrote. “I was traumatized seeing the person’s head in it’s mouth. I was convinced he ate them.”

“I remember seeing Barney at 5,” said @_.ladylove._. “He was my favorite show and at the birthday party I noticed and said out loud to everyone ‘Why is there a Man in your mouth!?’”

Hopefully, in a few years, this little one will be laughing while telling her own story about meeting Vampirina at Walt Disney World Resort!
