Halloween crept back into Magic Kingdom Park this year, and one of the season’s most iconic figures made quite an impression with a refreshed new look.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returned to Walt Disney World Resort in 2025, bringing guests a mix of festive fun and spirited surprises from August 15 through October 31.

On select evenings, the park transformed into a Halloween haven filled with trick-or-treating, live entertainment, and rare character encounters found only during the event. The event took place throughout August, September, and October, concluding on Halloween night.

Revealed on the official Disney Parks Instagram account, Jack Skellington made a splash due to his new appearance that mirrored his look from The Nightmare Before Christmas, the 1993 film directed by Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton.

In the film, Jack was voiced by Chris Sarandon, and this updated version captured his likeness more accurately than ever before. Fans quickly shared their enthusiasm, leaving comments such as “Awesome, he looks like himself now” and “Looks so much better.”

The updated design for Jack proved to be one of the most popular highlights of the event, inspiring long lines for photo opportunities. Guests were also encouraged to don their own Halloween costumes, as Disney once again relaxed its dress code for the occasion while maintaining park safety guidelines.

Jack Skellington Gets Updated Again

For the Christmas season at the Walt Disney World Resort, where guests can enjoy all things festive across the parks, as well as experience the hard-ticketed Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the official Disney Parks account on social media has confirmed that the redesigned Jack is sticking around–this time in his “Sandy Claws” garb.
