The Indiana Jones Adventure attraction will go dark at Disneyland Resort this December.

The Indiana Jones franchise is one of The Walt Disney Company’s most popular, so much so that fans can find attractions all across the world at Disney theme parks. From Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril at Disneyland Paris to Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull at Tokyo DisneySea and Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland Resort, the franchise—which famously stars Harrison Ford as the titular hero—is a big draw.
In the coming years, the Walt Disney World Resort will also gain a brand new Indiana Jones attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, adding to the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! that guests can find at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. As part of Animal Kingdom’s DinoLand U.S.A. reimagining, Indiana Jones will take over the space currently occupied by DINOSAUR, which has its final ride in early 2026.

The Indiana Jones addition will be joined by an Encanto attraction that is already taking shape. The Tropical Americas land is set to open in 2027.
As for the West Coast, Indiana Jones Adventure is closing this December.
“Follow Indy’s footsteps into the crumbling Temple of the Forbidden Eye past intricate booby traps,” the official Disneyland Resort website reads. “Inspect carvings and frescos that tell the story of Mara, a powerful deity who promises great treasures—and vengeance to those foolish enough to gaze into its all-seeing eyes.”

It continues: “Board a rugged troop transport and enter the Chamber of Destiny. Confront inconceivable dangers, like precarious precipices over molten lava, screaming mummies, swarms of giant insects, spear-throwing wraiths, collapsing bridges, slithering snakes—and a massive rolling boulder.”
Guests heading out to the Disneyland Resort this festive season will not be able to experience the attraction on December 2 and December 3. Indiana Jones Adventure has operating hours on December 1 and seems set to reopen on December 4, per the times listed on the official website.
