Big things are on the way for this Disney theme park.

Guests have seen lots of changes inside Disney’s theme parks over the past few years. From Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World to Disney California Adventure at Disneyland, it’s been full-steam ahead when it comes to large-scale projects, overhauls, expansions, and, of course, closures.
A number of fan-favorite attractions have closed recently, namely Muppet*Vision 3D and Tom Sawyer Island. Both experiences are set to be replaced with bigger, “better” ones, though it’s always hard to say goodbye.
A lot is changing with Disney’s international theme parks, too. Tokyo Disneyland is in the middle of rebuilding its version of Space Mountain, a massive and expensive undertaking not expected to be complete until 2027.
Disneyland Paris is going through changes, too, with the resort recently making a new announcement.

A new “milestone” event about Disney Adventure World will take place on November 24. Disney Adventure World is the new name of Disneyland Paris’ Walt Disney Studios theme park. The event will give fans a look inside the rebranding project, and may even include the park’s official opening date.
Walt Disney Studios’ rebrand has been one of the most fascinating news stories to come out of the Disney theme park scene. Often considered the least magical park under the Disney name, Walt Disney Studios has needed a refresh for quite some time.
The park is set to be the home of new rides, attractions, and experiences.
Disneyland Paris opened in 1992 and faced many challenges in its first few years. Attendance was significantly lower than Disney expected, resulting in a shrunken budget. This meant the total number of new rides and attractions that could be built was less than that of Disney’s other resorts.
Walt Disney Studios was envisioned as a quick and easy way to expand the Disneyland Paris Resort, taking notes from Disney’s already-opened Hollywood Studios (then MGM Studios). Walt Disney Studios featured the same rides as the American park (The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster) and the same overall theme.
Moviemaking played a big role in Walt Disney Studios’ identity, at least initially, though, like Hollywood Studios in Disney World, the park’s attachment to classic Hollywood began to fade as the years went on.
Things have since turned around for the resort. Disneyland Paris posted record profits in 2023, and Walt Disney Studios is changing in significant ways. The park’s transformation will take place in 2026, alongside the opening of World of Frozen, a massive new Frozen-themed expansion.
When all is said and done, Disney Adventure World will also feature a new log flume adventure based on The Lion King.
