Earlier this month, Disney World increased prices on all its Lightning Lane pass tiers, including those at Animal Kingdom. Disney did this in anticipation of larger crowds for the holiday weekend and the coming Halloween season.

However, a few days after the Lightning Lane price increase took effect, Disney removed one of the Lightning Lane rides at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The closing of Kali River Rapids for refurbishment left only four rides available to choose from: DINOSAUR, Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris, and Naʻvi River Journey.

To be fair, guests can also use their Lightning Lane Multi Pass for shows at Animal Kingdom, like Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!. Guests can also purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Avatar Flight of Passage.

However, compared to the other Disney World parks, Animal Kingdom offers fewer Lightning Lane experiences. This also explains why the Lightning Lane passes are cheaper at Animal Kingdom. Currently, a Lightning Lane Multi Pass is only $19, and a Lightning Lane Premier Pass is only $189, by far the cheapest of any Disney World park.

But don’t worry, Animal Kingdom fans, help is on the way. This morning, Disney World updated the lineup for its Lightning Lane Multi Pass, adding Zootopia: Better Together to the list of attractions.

Zootopia: Better Together will open on November 7, and when it does, guests can get a Lightning Lane pass for the new attraction. The attraction will open just two and a half weeks before Zootopia 2 (2025) hits theaters.

Zootopia: Better Together will take over the Tree of Life from It’s Tough to Be a Bug, which closed in March to make way for the updated attraction. After the eight-month refurbishment, the new show is ready to take over the Tree of Life theater.

This updated Lightning Lane lineup will only last for a few months. Animal Kingdom will lose another Lightning Lane ride when DINOSAUR closes early next year to make way for the new Encanto-themed Tropical Americas land.

Until then, enjoy the updated Lightning Lane at Animal Kingdom, as it will be years before you’ll have this many rides and attractions available to you.
