Of all the seasons at Disney’s theme parks, the holidays are arguably the most magical. At Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom transforms with the giant Christmas tree on Main Street, festive treats, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, featuring exclusive shows, holiday fireworks, snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A., and rare character meet-and-greets in festive costumes.
Over in Anaheim, Disneyland Resort embraces tradition with A Christmas Fantasy Parade, Sleeping Beauty’s Castle glistening in icy lights, and the beloved “it’s a small world” Holiday overlay. Haunted Mansion Holiday, inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), remains a fan-favorite seasonal transformation, blending Disney magic with Tim Burton’s iconic style from spooky season through to January.
International parks bring unique cultural touches. Tokyo Disneyland showcases ornate illuminations and themed snacks, while Hong Kong Disneyland decks out World of Frozen with Elsa’s ice magic.
Meanwhile, Disneyland Paris goes all out with Disney Enchanted Christmas. This includes Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade!, the “Let’s Sing Christmas!” musical show in Discoveryland’s Videopolis Theatre, and festive character encounters.
Disney Announces 4 New Festive Additions
For 2025, Disneyland Paris is going all out with even more festive additions. The French theme park resort has confirmed four new magical moments for this year.
This includes the opportunity to meet Aurora and Philip from Sleeping Beauty (1959) in the Castle Courtyard and meet both Santa Claus and Mrs Claus. While the latter has previously appeared at Disney World, this marks the festive matriarch’s first time at the theme park.
A brand-new Disney Princesses Holiday Celebration will premiere on the stage in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle (Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant). This will feature Mulan, Cinderella, Belle, Tiana, Jasmine, Rapunzel, Ariel, and Snow White.
Over on Main Street, U.S.A., the park’s state-of-the-art projection system – which debuted earlier this year – will blanket the street’s facades with festive visuals throughout the night. Unlike Halloween’s spooky projections, it doesn’t seem like these will be limited to select nights.
Other Changes Heading To Disneyland Paris
Beyond the festive season, there’s plenty of change on the horizon for Disneyland Paris.
Earlier this year, Walt Disney Studios Park unveiled World Premiere, a redesigned entrance plaza that marks another step in its evolution into Disney Adventure World. The Art Deco-style area introduces new venues, including Hollywood Gardens Restaurant, Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique, and the Searchlight snack kiosk.
Inside the park, large-scale construction continues. World of Frozen is approaching completion ahead of its spring 2026 debut, with Frozen Ever After as the main attraction. Adventure Way will bring new experiences based on Tangled and Up, while plans are advancing for a Lion King-themed land that will feature a water ride plunging from Pride Rock.
Resort-wide projects are also reshaping the guest experience. Davy Crockett Ranch is debuting themed bungalows inspired by Donald Duck and the Junior Woodchucks, and Disney Sequoia Lodge will begin refurbishment next year. Disney Village is also being modernized with new shops, upgraded dining options, and a revamped McDonald’s. Together, the updates signal a bold new chapter for Disneyland Paris.
