On late Sunday night, police responded to a call at a theme park in Texas. When they arrived on the scene, they found two gunshot victims in the parking, one of whom died at the scene.

Police were called to Malibu Jack’s, an indoor theme park in North Richland Hills, Texas, just after midnight on Sunday, after a call about a fight in the theme park’s parking lot. When they arrived, the police found 21-year-old DaShayla Jones dead at the scene, and an unidentified 23-year-old was also shot and transported to a local hospital. He is expected to survive his wounds.
Police took three 18-year-olds into custody at the scene, and after interviewing witnesses, it was determined that two of them had nothing to do with Jones’ murder. However, the two were still in police custody on unrelated class C charges that “were placed at the time of the arrest.”

During their investigation, police learned that there was a fight between several individuals in the parking lot after the theme park closed. After shots were fired, two off-duty police officers who were working at Malibu Jack’s responded to the shooting. One of the off-duty officers returned fire, while the other attended to the man who was injured by the gunfire.
