Disneyland’s Royal Theatre closed this afternoon after a fire alarm was tripped. As seen in a newly shared video from Twitter user @guyselga, the theater’s fire prevention system was triggered, resulting in gallons of water being poured on the stage as well as the theater’s seating area.

It’s unclear what actually prompted this response, as reports suggest there was no real fire present.

The theater remains closed for now. Disneyland has not made an official statement about the incident, but more information is expected to be released soon.

It’s not every day that guests witness an emergency unfold at Disneyland, though it’s nice to know that safety measures are put in place even at “The Happiest Place on Earth.”

Storytelling at Royal Theatre is where guests can enjoy a reenactment of classic Disney fairy tales such as Beauty and the Beast and Tangled. A “dynamic” thespian duo, Mr. Smythe and Mr. Jones, serve as the hosts of this attraction, inviting guests to gather around in an open-air medieval-style tent as they retell these classic fables.

Each show lasts approximately 25 minutes and is a great break from the hustle and bustle of Disneyland Park.

“Prepare to be transported to the funny, fantastical world of happily ever after,” says Disneyland in its description of the attraction.

Disneyland Resort is in the middle of its annual Halloween celebration, Oogie Boogie Bash, which features a number of limited-time goodies to explore and enjoy. However, Christmas is right around the corner, with work already underway on transforming Sleeping Beauty Castle into its winder wonderland-inspired variant.
