Credit: DisneyA new experience inspired by Moana (2016) and Moana 2 (2024) is coming to Walt Disney World Resort. The limited-time step-in photo op will appear as part of the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, replacing last year’s step-in photo op inspired by Wish (2023).

The 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is poised to be an exciting event for art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. This annual celebration brings together stunning artwork and various interactive experiences that allow Walt Disney World Resort guests to immerse themselves in the creative process.
One of the key attractions during the festival is the opportunity for visitors to participate in hands-on workshops led by professional artists. These sessions cover various artistic styles and techniques, allowing guests to learn directly from experts. Street performances and live demonstrations from talented artists are also available throughout the EPCOT World Showcase.
UGuests can sample delicacies from food booths artistically themed around various cultures, enhancing their connection to the art showcased. One of the most popular complimentary experiences is the paint-by-number mural, which comes together thanks to the efforts of thousands of Disney Park guests.
Introduction of the Moana Photo Op
A highlight of the upcoming festival is the introduction of a brand-new Moana-themed photo opportunity. This enchanting art installation allows Walt Disney World Resort guests to literally step into the vibrant world of Moana in a frame-style photo-op near Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana.
Other Photo Ops at the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts
In addition to the new Moana photo op, the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will feature a selection of returning iconic artworks from previous festivals. The photo-ops are available throughout the World Showcase.
Guests can step into pieces like “Luncheon of the Boating Party” at the International Gateway, “Washington Crossing the Delaware” by Emanuel Gottlieb Leutze at the American Adventure Pavilion, and the “Mona Lisa” by Leonardo da Vinci between the Italy and Germany World Showcase Pavilions. Photo ops featuring Mary Poppins and Sleeping Beauty will return to the bridge to World Showcase.
