Donald Trump To Be Played by Marvel Actor in New Biopic

Former President Donald Trump may be seeking election in 2024, but Hollywood is busy gearing things up for a new biopic film based on the life of the former commander-in-chief. A prominent Marvel actor is reportedly playing the Trump in the new movie.

New Donald Trump Movie in the Works

A film about the early life of the former President is currently in the works. Titled The Apprentice, the movie will be directed by Ali Abbasi, an Iranian filmmaker who has worked on projects like In The Darkness Is The Light (2010) and M for Markus (2011), both passion projects and short films for the Hollywood director.

The movie is about Donald Trump’s efforts to build a real estate business in New York in the 1970s and 1980s. The movie also explores Trump’s relationship with attorney Roy Cohn. The film is a mentor-protege story exploring themes of power, ambition, corruption, and deceit. The movie reveals the human and moral cost of a culture defined by winners and losers.

Gabriel Sherman, an author and reporter known for his 2014 book The Loudest Voice in the Room, is set to be writing the screenplay for the movie. So far, Jeremy Strong and Maria Bakalova have been cast in the film. Strong will portray the late prosecutor and attorney Roy Cohn, who was known for his work with 1950s-era United States Senator Joseph McCarthy on various anti-communism investigations within the federal government.

Bakalova, on the other hand, will be portraying Ivana Trump, the former President’s first wife. Ivana married Trump in 1977 and had three children before divorcing in the 90s. Ivana sadly passed away at the age of 73 in 2022.

But the most recent news of this new film is the announcement that a Marvel actor will be portraying a young version of the former United States President. Sebastian Stan, known for his role as Bucky Barns, best friend to Steve Rogers, who later became The Winter Soldier in various Marvel Studios films like Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), Captain American The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America Civil War (2016), and Avengers Infinity War (2019).

Stan also starred as the villain turned hero in the Disney+ live-action series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021). Multiple outlets were reporting on the news of Sebastian Stan playing the young Donald earlier this week, which has been confirmed.

There is no official release date for the movie yet, but more news will come out as we enter 2024. There is no news yet whether Donald Trump has some role in creating his new film or will not be asked to advise. With the Presidential elections taking place in 11 months, it will be interesting to see how much publicity this film will get in 2024.

With so much controversy surrounding the former United States commander-in-chief, one must wonder how successful this film will be for Trump in the long run.
