Bob Iger just announced at the Disney shareholder meeting that a Frozen 2 movie will be happening and is in development at Walt Disney Animation Studios.
The Oscar-winning filmmaking team behind Frozen will return to work on the sequel with Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee as directors and Peter Del Vecho as the producer. Josh Gad was also confirmed that he will reprise his role as the voice of Olaf. A release date was not announced and production details will be announced at a later date.
“We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters,” said John Lasseter. “Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.”
