SDCC '14: Skylanders pulls back the curtain at Comic-Con, holds cosplay costume contest for big cash

We’ve covered Activision’s Skylanders video games for a while, as the competition heats up between that popular franchise, Disney Infinity, and all the other “toys to life” video games that are forthcoming.

At SDCC 2014, a Skylanders panel not only gave a glimpse at the process behind Activision’s character creation, but also featured a cosplay contest with massive prizes giving away thousands of dollars to fans who arrived in some pretty amazing costumes.

Skylanders Trap Team hits store shelves on October 5, 2014.
