Walt Disney World is making another adjustment to its theme park reservation system, and some Annual Passholders are about to enjoy a little more freedom when planning their visits.

For years, Disney’s reservation requirements have been a point of frustration for guests who want the flexibility to visit the parks without planning every detail in advance. While Disney has eased some of those rules over time, Annual Passholders still face certain restrictions depending on when they visit.

Now, Disney is offering another opportunity to skip one of those requirements.

With October nearing its end and the busy holiday season approaching, Walt Disney World has added several dates when eligible Annual Passholders can enter the theme parks without making reservations.

However, the change doesn’t apply to everyone, and there are still a few important rules guests need to understand before heading to the parks.

Disney World Removes Reservation Requirement for Four Days in October

Walt Disney World has added four new “Good to Go” Days to its Annual Passholder calendar, giving eligible passholders additional opportunities to visit without securing a theme park reservation.

Disney has now designated October 26 through October 29, 2026, as Good to Go Days.

The newly added dates include:

  • Monday, October 26

  • Tuesday, October 27

  • Wednesday, October 28

  • Thursday, October 29

During these four days, eligible Annual Passholders can visit Walt Disney World’s theme parks without making a reservation beforehand.

That means passholders who decide to visit Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom can enjoy greater flexibility when making their plans.

The latest announcement brings October’s total to five Good to Go Days, including October 6, which has already passed.

For Annual Passholders who live close enough to visit regularly, the additional dates could make spontaneous afternoon trips or last-minute park visits much easier.

Instead of checking reservation availability and securing a spot before arriving, eligible passholders can simply plan their visit around the newly designated dates.

Still, Disney hasn’t eliminated its reservation system entirely.

Not Every Disney World Annual Passholder Can Take Advantage

Although the new Good to Go Days remove one major requirement, they don’t override every restriction associated with Walt Disney World’s Annual Pass program.

Annual Passholders must still follow the blockout dates associated with their specific passes.

For example, someone whose Annual Pass blocks access on a particular date cannot use a Good to Go Day to bypass that restriction.

Disney also maintains capacity limitations, meaning park admission isn’t necessarily guaranteed simply because a date appears on the Good to Go calendar.

These distinctions are important because Walt Disney World offers different Annual Pass options, each with its own benefits and limitations.

The Disney Incredi-Pass offers the greatest flexibility, while other passes have restrictions on certain dates throughout the year.

Instead, they temporarily remove the reservation requirement for passholders who are otherwise eligible to enter.

What Happens If You Already Made a Disney Park Reservation?

Disney has also established a process for guests who already secured reservations for dates that later become Good to Go Days.

According to the existing policy, Disney automatically removes those reservations when the dates receive Good to Go status.

Guests can still see the information under the My Plans section of the My Disney Experience app, but the reservation no longer counts toward the maximum number they can hold at one time.

That creates another benefit for passholders who frequently visit Walt Disney World.

Depending on their Annual Pass type, guests can only hold a certain number of theme park reservations simultaneously. Removing reservations for Good to Go Days frees up those spots for future visits.

Passholders don’t need to manually cancel their existing reservations to receive this benefit.

However, it’s always a good idea to review plans in My Disney Experience before visiting, particularly when Disney makes changes to its reservation calendar.

Disney World Has Been Gradually Easing Annual Passholder Restrictions

The latest announcement continues Disney’s approach of providing more flexibility to Annual Passholders without completely abandoning theme park reservations.

Disney introduced Good to Go Days as a way to let passholders visit on select dates without making advance reservations.

The program has continued throughout 2026, with Disney periodically adding dates to its calendar.

Earlier this year, Disney offered several Good to Go Days in January, February, April, and other months.

July was particularly active, with 11 dates designated for reservation-free visits.

September also featured 11 Good to Go Days, giving passholders multiple opportunities to enter the parks without advance planning.

October initially had just one such date, October 6, before Disney added the latest four-day stretch.

That makes the announcement particularly welcome for passholders hoping to squeeze in another visit before Halloween.

Outside of Good to Go Days, Annual Passholders also have some reservation-free access after 2 p.m., although exceptions apply, including Magic Kingdom visits on Saturdays and Sundays.

The newly announced dates provide additional flexibility because eligible passholders don’t have to wait until the afternoon to enter without a reservation.

What the Changes Mean Heading Into the Holiday Season

The timing of Disney’s latest adjustment is worth paying attention to.

Walt Disney World is approaching one of its busiest stretches of the year, with Halloween celebrations giving way to Thanksgiving and Christmas festivities.

Magic Kingdom is preparing for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, while EPCOT will welcome the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays beginning November 27.

Holiday decorations, seasonal entertainment, and special offerings will soon become major attractions across the resort.

For Annual Passholders, having more opportunities to visit without reservations could make it easier to enjoy the parks before the holiday crowds arrive.

However, Disney hasn’t announced additional November Good to Go Days as part of this latest update.

The company typically releases these dates periodically rather than announcing an entire year’s schedule in advance.

That means passholders should continue checking the My Disney Experience app and Disney’s official Annual Passholder information for future additions.

For now, the important dates are October 26, 27, 28, and 29.

While the changes don’t represent a permanent removal of Walt Disney World’s reservation requirements, they do give eligible Annual Passholders four consecutive days of added flexibility.

And for guests who have grown tired of making reservations simply to enjoy an afternoon at their favorite Disney park, that’s certainly a welcome change.
