I don’t think singles should even be allowed in the park. They say if you don’t have the money for a tip you shouldn’t eat out well if you don’t have friends you shouldn’t go to theme parks. Plus everybody knows that its dangerous for kids to be around singles because you know … Just ban them so everybody’s safe.
I can’t believe anyone would so boldly pretend that choosing to participate in an activity by yourself is the same as being a maladjusted loner with zero friends.
I’ve gone to theme parks with friends and family and still used the single rider line because the rides I wanted to enjoy were not necessarily interesting to my companions. Oh no, how scandalous! I’ve been to Universal Studios in Osaka all by myself and had a great time. OH NO, how dangerous for the youth!!
A few years ago, I took the train up to New York by myself and attended a concert at Carnegie Hall without knowing anyone there, do you also consider that something to be banned?
I went on a caving trip with the local parks department without knowing a single person involved. And a horse riding trip through the parks department as well.
I’ve eaten at restaurants by myself, gone hiking by myself, traveled by myself, attended conventions by myself—and my life is better for it.
I watched my paternal grandmother barely do any of the activities she wanted to do because she refused to do them alone and was married to a man uninterested in outings.
I have no interest in ever becoming that woman. So society will simply have to cope with the idea that some people are bold enough to do activities on their own.
You are absolutely correct. To deem a single individual as dangerous or suspect because they’re alone is one of the most asinine assumptions to make. I do most stuff alone because I’m single, not by choice. I can’t go out and have fun anymore because I’m single.
The point of Single Riders is so lines can kind of move a little faster and if you don’t want to wait in long to get on a ride. I’ve seen so many attractions get packed it’s not even funny. Now sure my folks got passes to Universal and islands of adventure and sea world. It is nice they still at least pay for that for me. Now withing having a year pass I may get like 43 Blackout dates. Okay so out of 365 days I’m losing 43 out of that which leads a total left of 322. Okay not horrible. But the parks still get packed with a ton of tourists which impact a local like me to try to enjoy the park. So if I go to one of my favorite rides like transformers, Spiderman, king Kong, or any other ride I can do. I won’t do the coaster and such not an adrenaline type person anyways. If I go to attraction that I like and see if the line is like 10 to 15 I Cando the regular attraction in seconds with no worries. But if it shows its 1 to almost 2 hours long, I go to the single rider queue and I can cut the time by maybe about a half. So… saying that theme parks need to remove or get rid of Single rider Queue lines yeah… your not the sharpest tool in the shed.
This stinks. Single rider lines should remain premaritally. I usually use those lines since my friends (some of them) have epilepsy and can’t go on the rides. They can’t stay alone for a long time so I use the single rider lines to go on the rides since I usually wait about 10 minutes. That’s an advantage for people with friends/family that can’t go on those rides or have no interests in those rides. Also, both my parents are in their 70’s and some of these rides are too intense for them. They don’t mind waiting 20 minutes for me to go on a ride. They would be a bit upset if they had to wait more than 30 minutes for me to get on and off a ride. We also aren’t rich and can’t afford freaking lightning lane passes. I hope that Disney and Universal would reconsider what they’ve done. I doubt it though. Both are just for the money now and don’t seem to care as much for the fans.

This is probably the most idiotic statement ever made. 🙄
