Hey! its all about the Benjamins – and LOTS of them. How else can Bob Iger keep getting his golden parachute. But really – they now pay their first line cast members a decent wage – hahahaha. Have not been to Disney in almost 10 years, still have tickets left – hoppers even and probably will die without using them.
You omitted the perk of having purchases made at theme parks delivered to a pickup location near the park exit, or better yet, delivered to your Disney Resort…free. I guess you might say this actually SAVES guests $$, because if you’re like us, we purchase far fewer souvenirs now that we have to lug them around the park all day. We especially avoid buying things like artwork, breakable or heavy items, & expensive things that could be stolen. Years ago, we purchased a fair amount of those kinds of things because we drive from out of state & could easily carry those things home. Now…we make FAR fewer impulsive purchases.

All the things that Disney takes away from the consumer makes you wonder what they take away from the cast members.
