I like the idea of looking at the Force from another perspective. Looking at the Force sensitive as someone who is Radiant and how The Shine and The Shadow are parts of a whole in The Radiant. We all have a light side/ The Shine and a dark side/The Shadow. We must find a balance in that in our daily lives.

As a fan and a lover of starwars i can speak for about 90% of old fans. The force. The light side, the dark side. The use of both and training in the rage while controling the emotions that come from it. To do this was near impossible. To now add these other terms kinda feels tacky. Its like how tgey kept adding letters to the lgbtq thing. Like we got male and female we good. We dont need the light side. The “shine” or the “shadow” honestly to old time classic fans your gonna ruin starwars with this, cause the names are just muddled now and theres no iconic reminders of the hood old days of starwars. The disney + that plus is adding to much. Its all corps now

Sorry Disney, (or “Marvel” or “Lucasfilm,” or whatever brand Disney claims to be,) when I think of “The Shine,” I think of Stephen King and the similar concepts he uses in his books over the years. Not Star Wars.

Even if they call the force “the shine” and “the shadow” that works for the beginning such as with The Acolyte, but through history the name will change, the power will grow, and the people using the power will call it what it is at that point and time. We who have been following Star Wars since we were kids will call it The Force, because that what has been established since 1977.

Next episode will be Star wars, the shinning.

I don’t care what Disney calls anything in Star Wars or what they do in Star Wars, it’s all meaningless fanfiction. Most of us know what Star Wars is and what The Force is, we don’t need Disney to tell us.

Just make the stories captivating and interesting. So many of the Star Wars theatrical releases have been so-so at best. As for renaming the Force, why? And “shine” reminds me of moonshine. Its the Force.

Disney is out of ideas so they have to come up with some phony garbage that never existed before to keep a dead franchise on life support

Dumbest thing I ever heard. This is why Disney should never have gotten their greedy hands on the franchise. It’s the Force. Not the light, shadow, shimmy shimmer or whatever…leave stuff alone Disney!!!

No disrespect to gay people, but this is gay.

I don’t think so but it’s just fake nonsense that never existed before Disney got their greedy hands on Star Wars and drove it into the ground trying to drain it of every penny they can

    2. Royal

I’m not understanding what you’re thinking is woke about it but it is otherwise complete nonsense that has nothing to do Star Wars IP in any sense. What’s next, trying to figure out a backstory for Qui Gonn and Obi Wan and Palpatine and Yoda and their parents and their parents and their parents parents and tracing all the humans ancestry back to Earth just to keep this franchises name out there??

Dumbest most p@thetic most st*pid and most idi*tic thing I’ve ever heard Disney come up with for Star Wars since trying to bring Palpatine and Darth Maul back from the dead. The Force is the Force. There is no backstory to it, there were no threads or whatever mumbojumbo nonsense they’re trying to come up with! I didn’t think Disney could get any dumber. But here we are! However, it’s easy to pretend that Disney’s junky Star Wars fanfiction doesn’t exist by not watching it and seeing the six Lucasfilm movies as the only cannon thing.

Trying to read Disney’s explanation of they think was the start of the force was some serious cringe and highly co nfusing. Made no sense whatsoever other than now they’re trying to bring mythology and wit chcraft into it which has nothing to do with star wars at all. Disney needs to just stop it, get some mental help and please, please, please in the name of humanity let the franchise rest in peace!!

MORE comic books?!?! And the force used to be WHAT?!?! Whoever Disney has locked in their writing rooms has long since been needed to be checked into a mental hospital right alongside KK and Dave. First KK thinks the Force is female now Dave is trying to say that is was once “thread” and “the shine” and “the shadow” and something about a single woven strand by some nonexisting “force whiches” and fathers and sons and daughters and mythical gods and…and… I’m sorry but Disney has collectively lost their minds. I’m gonna stick to the first six movies where I don’t have to try to think the force was ever anything else but the force used only by Jedi! Not everything has to have a beginning story!

As my Father would say, “Those people could F-Up a train wreck in progress!”

I think you just gave Sheldon, Leonard, Howard, and Raj a coronary event. Along with all Star Wars fans. Good freaking grief. If you want something different then create something different. Generations have know what the Force was. It’s pretty self explanatory. Force good Dark side bad. What the heck with the shine and the shadow. Are we going to break out tambourines and sing? Unless it’s the OG soundtracks I’m not interested. That we can hum just for fun. Im just ugh 😑 get original and leave the Original stories alone.
