At 2:24 p.m. on Monday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about an endangered missing person at the Disney Springs shopping, dining, and entertainment district. Central Florida law enforcement tracking account @WDWActiveCrime shared the scanner report regarding the emergency response on X (formerly known as Twitter):

The Google Maps screenshot attached to the X post pinpointed a location at the center of Disney Springs. However, this address is often used by law enforcement to track emergency responses at Walt Disney World Resort‘s outdoor lifestyle complex and is unlikely to be the exact location where the endangered missing person report originated.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has not commented publicly on the emergency response on Monday afternoon or shared any information about the endangered person that was reported missing. If the person was found, authorities are unlikely to share any information about their identity unless criminal charges are filed. Police may identify the person if they believe the public could help find them.

Walt Disney World Resort, similarly, has not commented publicly on the endangered missing person report at Disney Springs on October 12. It’s unclear whether the person reported missing was a Disney cast member, theme park guest, or an unrelated individual passing through the area.

Operations are continuing normally at Disney Springs despite the emergency response. Walt Disney World Resort guests are encouraged to continue with planned vacation itineraries, but urged to follow instructions from security and/or law enforcement if they encounter any emergency responses on property.
