Walt Disney World runs a lot of celebrations, and they do not all carry the same weight.
Some are essentially merchandise drops with a hashtag attached. Others get real programming, real talent, and real presence across multiple parks. The difference is usually visible within about five minutes of walking through a gate, and guests have gotten very good at telling which is which.
This one is the second kind.
Walt Disney World is celebrating Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month under the theme “Together We Are Magia,” running September 15 through October 15, 2026.
The headline name attached to it is Luis Fonsi, and the programming behind him is substantial enough that you could genuinely plan a park day around it.
Here is everything happening.

Luis Fonsi Joins the Disney Celebration
The Puerto Rican superstar is part of this year’s festivities, and his involvement sets the tone for the entire thing.
“It’s an honor to be part of this celebration and to share all the magia,” Fonsi said.
That word choice matters more than it might appear. “Magia” is doing the work in the theme itself, and it is the kind of bilingual wordplay that lands naturally rather than feeling focus-grouped. Disney celebrations sometimes stumble on that exact point. This one does not.
For anyone unfamiliar, Fonsi is one of the most commercially successful Latin artists of the past two decades, and attaching his name to this raises the profile considerably beyond the park-going audience.
Live Concerts at EPCOT
The Eat to the Beat Concert Series at EPCOT is carrying a heavy slate of Latin talent throughout the celebration.
Here is the full lineup:
- Latin Ambition, September 15 through 17
- Grupo Mania, September 20 and 21
- Metro Latino Band, September 22 through 24
- Rey Ruiz, October 5 and 6
- Viva Latina, October 9 through 11
All of these are included with park admission, which is worth emphasizing. There is no upcharge, no separate ticket, and no dining package requirement to attend.
That is a meaningful distinction at a resort where premium experiences increasingly come with a price tag attached.
If you are already planning an EPCOT day during the Food and Wine Festival, building your evening around one of these performances costs you nothing extra.

Disney Characters Worth Seeking Out
The celebration brings out a genuinely impressive roster of Latin and Hispanic characters across two parks.
At EPCOT, guests can enjoy ¡Celebración Encanto! featuring Mirabel and Bruno.
At Magic Kingdom, the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade includes Mirabel, Miguel from Coco, Princess Elena, José Carioca, and Panchito.
That Magic Kingdom lineup deserves a closer look, because the range in it is unusual.

José Carioca and Panchito date back to the 1940s and Disney’s Good Neighbor Policy films, Saludos Amigos and The Three Caballeros. Princess Elena arrived in 2016 as Disney’s first Latina princess. Mirabel and Miguel represent the modern era.
Seeing characters spanning eight decades of Disney’s relationship with Latin American culture rolling down Main Street together is not something that happens often, and it is arguably the most interesting piece of the whole celebration for longtime fans.
New Coco Merchandise
A new Coco collection has arrived timed to the celebration.
The lineup includes:
- A Miguel mug
- A floral tee
- An alebrije headband
The alebrije headband is the one to watch. Alebrijes are the brightly colored folk art creatures that feature heavily in Coco, and they translate unusually well into wearable merchandise because the source material is already so vivid.
Items tied to a specific celebration window tend to move quickly, so if any of these matter to you, earlier in the run is safer than later.

Movies Under the Stars
Disney is also featuring Hispanic and Latin American inspired content as part of Movies Under the Stars programming at the resort hotels.
This is an easy one to overlook and genuinely worth using.
Movies Under the Stars is free for resort guests, it happens in the evening after park days, and it requires no planning at all. For families traveling with kids who are worn out by seven o’clock, it is one of the better low-effort ways to keep a celebration going without another park visit.
How to Plan Around It
A few practical notes on the September 15 through October 15 window.
The concert dates are the most schedule-dependent piece. Five different acts across five separate date ranges means you will want to check which performer lines up with your trip rather than assuming there is music every night.
The character offerings run throughout, so those are less time-sensitive.
Merchandise is the piece most likely to sell out, particularly the headband.
And the whole celebration overlaps with the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, which is already running. That makes EPCOT the highest-value park during this window, since you get festival booths, Eat to the Beat, and ¡Celebración Encanto! on the same admission.
For a celebration that could easily have been a T-shirt and a social post, this is a real slate of programming, and it is spread across enough of the resort that guests will actually run into it.
Together We Are Magia runs September 15 through October 15, 2026 at Walt Disney World.
