Epic Universe has been open for more than a year, but access still works differently from Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.
But now, Universal is giving passholders major access perks for Epic Universe.
Here’s what Passholders need to know.
How Passholders Can Get Into Epic Universe
Universal Orlando Annual Passholders can purchase specially priced one-day add-on tickets for Epic Universe.
The standard Annual Passholder discount is 15% off the general public price. Universal has also offered additional promotional savings on select dates, with total discounts reaching up to 40% during certain promotional periods.
That deeper discount is not standard every day. Savings vary by date, so passholders should check Universal’s current ticket calendar before making plans.
Universal allows passholders to purchase up to six discounted tickets in one transaction. Anyone with more than six eligible passholders linked to an account must complete another transaction.
The ticket provides a dated, one-day admission to Epic Universe, and prices may vary, depending on the selected date.
These tickets are also non-transferable. Each discounted ticket is associated with an eligible Annual or Seasonal Passholder and cannot be purchased for someone without a qualifying pass.
Major Perks for Passholders
The standard 15% Passholder discount can save guests around $20 or more per ticket, depending on the general public price for their selected date.
That can add up quickly for families buying several tickets.
During certain promotional periods, Universal has offered additional savings that push the total discount beyond the standard 15%. Those promotions have reached as high as 40% off on select dates, although passholders should not expect that discount across the entire calendar.
For two passholders, even a $20-per-ticket discount means $40 in combined savings.
Since Epic Universe uses date-based pricing, the actual amount saved depends on the selected date and whether Universal is offering an additional Passholder promotion at the time.
Passholders with flexible schedules should compare several dates before buying.
What Restrictions Apply?
Buying an Annual Pass does not immediately unlock online access to discounted Epic Universe tickets.
The pass must first be activated in person.
A new Passholder cannot purchase an Annual Pass online and immediately use it to secure discounted Epic Universe admission online. The Annual Pass must be activated on its first use at an eligible theme park entrance.
Only after activation can the Passholder purchase the discounted Epic Universe add-on ticket online.
Guests purchasing a new Annual Pass shortly before traveling should account for that requirement when arranging their park days.
Universal also limits purchases to six discounted tickets per transaction, and each ticket is linked to an eligible Passholder. That means someone cannot transfer a discounted ticket to a friend or family member without a qualifying Annual or Seasonal Pass.
Passholders should also be prepared to present their valid Annual Pass and photo ID when entering Epic Universe.
What’s Waiting Inside Epic Universe?
Getting through the gates is only part of the story. Epic Universe gives passholders five themed worlds to explore.
Guests can visit SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Celestial Park.
Between major attractions, themed dining, character experiences, and detailed environments, there is plenty to fill an entire day.
Epic Universe Still Isn’t Included With Existing Annual Passes
There is an important distinction for Universal Orlando Resort Annual Passholders.
Epic Universe is included in some Universal Orlando multi-day ticket products, giving vacationers ways to bundle the park into a longer trip. However, existing Annual and Seasonal Passes involved in this offer still do not provide unlimited admission to Epic Universe.
Those passholders need a separate Epic Universe admission, such as the discounted one-day add-on ticket.
Their passes can provide regular admission to Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, subject to the terms and blockout dates of their specific pass. Still, those passes alone do not provide repeated entry to Epic Universe.
That could change eventually.
Universal could introduce an Annual Pass product that includes Epic Universe or make other changes to its lineup. With 2027 approaching, future developments to the Annual Pass are worth watching.
For now, passholders should plan on purchasing separate admission to visit Epic Universe.

For Annual Passholders waiting for a better opportunity to experience Epic Universe in 2026, checking Universal’s current Passholder pricing before choosing a date could make the visit easier on the vacation budget.
