Walt Disney World Resort recently brought a full-sized cash register back to a popular gift shop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but another checkout station is still missing. Let’s take a look.

On Sunday, WDWNT reported that the wooden register counter had returned to The Darkroom at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, shortly after Walt Disney World Resort reconfigured the store. The outlet shared a photo of Disney cast members and guests using the checkout station on social media:

The counter features Art Deco-style gray and black theming alongside the finished wood, matching the aesthetic of the vintage camera-themed merchandise location at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s located near the main entrance to the gift shop on Hollywood Boulevard.

Even though Walt Disney World Resort revived this checkout station, another full-sized wooden register is still absent from The Darkroom at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The missing station was in another section of the lengthy gift shop, which means that guests may have to wait longer to purchase Disney Trading Pins, Mickey or Minnie Mouse ears, MagicBands, and other souvenirs.

Walt Disney World Resort has not publicly acknowledged the recent changes in The Darkroom at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or indicated whether it plans to bring back the second full-sized checkout station. Disney rarely comments publicly on minor updates like this one that don’t force a closure or significantly impact the theme park guest experience.

Disney Park guests can find an even larger selection of souvenirs steps away from The Darkroom across Hollywood Boulevard at Mickey’s of Hollywood, or at several other merchandise locations around the lands of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
