Indiana Jones Adventure Attraction Now Closed
In late July, Disneyland Resort announced that Indiana Jones Adventure would close for refurbishment on September 8, 2026. The Southern California Disney park has slowly been revitalizing the Adventureland attraction over the last several years, including the return of the boulder scene.
In 2025, the preshow returned to Indiana Jones Adventure after five years away. Then, in January 2026, Walt Disney Imagineers repaired a mid-ride bridge effect that had long been broken and refreshed props at the attraction exit.
Disneyland Resort’s website encourages guests to “check back” for updates. The Southern California Disney park‘s operational calendar currently runs through October 20, and there are no hours listed for Indiana Jones Adventure through that date.
A Look at the Closed Adventureland Ride
WDW News Today shared a photo of the shuttered Adventureland attraction on Facebook, showing off signs that read “Attention! Not Offering Tours Today” and “Coming Soon! Temple Tours Will Begin Again This Fall.”
Another sign on the wooden fence blocking the ride entrance reads:
“Coming soon! Join me on a most splendid tour of the Temple of the Forbidden Eye, with an opportunity to partake in the Fabled Blessings of Mara: eternal youth, great wealth, or a glimpse into the future. What could be more delightful? Tours begin in Fall of 1935!
– Sallah El-Kahir”
