Disney needs to go back to the way things used to be when Parks closed at 10:00 or 10:30 this late night closing is putting a stress on the cast members especially the ones that work on third shift 11:00 to 7:00 because there are guests wandering around the park till 12:00 1:00 in the morning the quality of the maintenance service and cleaning services during the third shift is causing loss of quality in the job that’s done because cast members don’t have a full 8 hours to complete their jobs in a quality and safe manner because the parks will be opening again at 8:00 a.m. in the morning to the regular guests.
The good old days are over. Disney is about bringing in as much money as they can. Period. Guest experience is no longer the driving force of the company. The garbage over flowing from the garbage cans and littering the queues, the filthy bathrooms, the understaffed state of the parks, the constant ticket price hikes paired with the endless nickel and diming once you get into the park…disney wants your money. They don’t care about your experience. The years of goodwill and legacy guests who found value in the Magic has been used up and discarded. As Bob Chapek said “we don’t you need you” in response to the outrage from guests who had come to expect that Disney Magic after years of devotion to the company.
Of course disney is turning what was once part of buying a ticket into a high priced “premium” experience. Which, by the way, is not premium. The bathrooms are still dirty, the parks are still understaffed. You are just paying extra to have shorter lines. That was something that used to be a perk of staying on property. The good old days were good. The magic was real. But it’s gone now. It’s like a dear friend has died. I will miss it forever.
What about the cost to the annual pass holder? We should not have to pay extra for the privilege of the extra hours. We already commit hundreds of dollars to the parks.
