Battery at Disney Springs on Thursday Morning
At 9:15 a.m. on September 24, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about an incident of “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” at the Disney Springs lifestyle complex. Law enforcement monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the scanner report on X (formerly known as Twitter):

The Google Maps screenshot attached to the X post pinpoints an area at the center of Disney Springs, near the main entrance from the bus loop. However, this is almost always where dispatchers log scanner reports regarding incidents at the shopping, dining, and entertainment district. As with most emergency responses at Walt Disney World Resort, this is likely a generic address used for tracking incident reports rather than the exact coordinates where the 911 call originated.
It’s unclear if those involved were Disney cast members, guests, or both. Whether anyone was seriously injured is also unknown at this time.
Neither the Orange County Sheriff’s Office nor Walt Disney World Resort has commented publicly on the battery incident on Thursday morning. Disney rarely comments on emergency responses at its theme parks, hotels, and other properties, but authorities may eventually release more information via a police report or criminal charging documents.
