Violent Threats and Assault Near Magic Kingdom Park on Monday
Shortly after 10:00 a.m. on August 10, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a report of “threats/assault” in the Magic Kingdom Park/Disney’s Contemporary Resort Area. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the 911 call log on X (formerly known as Twitter):

As with most reports like this one, the Google Maps screenshot attached to the X post pinpoints a location on World Drive between Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom Park. However, that is probably not where the violent incident occurred on Monday morning. Scanner reports at the Central Florida Disney parks, hotels, and other resort locations are often logged at general addresses for each location rather than the exact coordinates of the associated emergency response.
It’s unclear how many guests were involved in the incident on Monday morning, nor do we know whether anyone was seriously injured. Walt Disney World Resort rarely issues statements about law enforcement responses on its property, but more information may become available if a police report is publicized or criminal charges are filed.
Typically, guests involved in incidents like this one are banned from Walt Disney World Resort with help from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. However, it’s currently impossible to confirm whether that happened in this case.
What to Know Before Heading to the Park This Week
As of the time of this article, all attractions at Magic Kingdom Park were operating normally, according to the My Disney Experience app. Guests at the original Central Florida Disney park or Disney’s Contemporary Resort shouldn’t expect any delays or disruptions following the violent incident on Monday morning.
In general, guests who encounter law enforcement or security responses at the Central Florida Disney parks are encouraged to give the area space and follow all instructions from authorities and cast members on the scene.
