Magic Kingdom to Experience More Closures Throughout Autumn Season as Mickey’s Halloween Party Sells Out
There is still plenty of summer left in Central Florida, but Walt Disney World guests planning a fall visit are already losing choices at Magic Kingdom.
The October 6, 2026, edition of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is now listed as unavailable on Disney’s ticket calendar. Its removal leaves October 27 as the only Tuesday party in October with tickets available at the time of publication—and choosing that later event comes with a higher price.
October 6 tickets cost $199 per adult before selling out. October 27 admission costs $224, creating a $25 difference for visitors who need a Tuesday party. For a family purchasing several tickets, losing that earlier option can produce a meaningful addition to an already expensive evening.
The change does not mean Magic Kingdom is closed for the entire day on October 6. It means new guests can no longer purchase admission to that night’s separately ticketed Halloween party through Disney’s online calendar.
Disney World’s October 6 Halloween Party Is No Longer Available
The official Walt Disney World ticket page lists inventory by individual event date, allowing a party to disappear even while surrounding nights remain available.
October 6 joins October 9, October 13, October 29, and Halloween night among the October parties that have reached sellout status. Earlier August and September events have also become unavailable as the 2026 season progresses. Inside the Magic’s August 10 availability report documented 11 sold-out or completed nights before October 6 joined the list.
Disney scheduled 38 parties this year, running from August 7 through October 31. According to Disney’s official event information, the party operates from 7 p.m. until midnight. Ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 p.m. without buying separate daytime admission.
Tickets originally ranged from $119 to $229, plus tax, depending on the date. The least-expensive $119 nights sold out earlier this summer, steadily pushing late purchasers toward higher-priced events.
Which Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Dates Remain?
Twenty-six dates were still showing availability when the latest inventory change was documented:
- August: 23 ($139), 25 ($144), 28 ($149), and 30 ($149)
- September: 1 ($149), 11 and 13 ($159), 15 ($164), 18 and 20 ($169), 22 ($169), 24 ($174), 25 and 27 ($179), and 29 ($184)
- October: 1 ($189), 2 and 4 ($199), 8 ($204), 15 ($214), 16 and 18 ($219), and 22, 23, 25, and 27 ($224)

October 27 is not the only October event left, but it is the last available Tuesday. Guests who can attend on a Thursday, Friday, or Sunday retain more choices, although most remaining mid-to-late October tickets cost at least $214.
That shrinking flexibility matters because the party is not simply ordinary Magic Kingdom admission after dark. Its exclusive lineup includes Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, trick-or-treat locations, character appearances, and seasonal attraction effects. What the Sellout Means for Regular Magic Kingdom Guests
Visitors holding standard Magic Kingdom admission may still enter on an event date, subject to Disney’s ordinary admission requirements. The important difference arrives in the evening.
On Halloween-party nights, regular Magic Kingdom operations end at 6 p.m. Guests without party admission must leave as Disney prepares for the 7 p.m. event. That creates two distinct planning problems. Someone hoping to attend the October 6 party now needs another event date. Someone holding only regular park admission can visit October 6 during the day but should not expect a conventional evening at Magic Kingdom.
Disney does not guarantee that tickets will remain available until each party date. Its event page explicitly warns that admission is limited and may become unavailable before the event. The 2026 opening-night sellout showed that the pressure was not confined to Halloween week.
For guests committed to a particular weekday, the practical takeaway is straightforward: verify both the party calendar and Magic Kingdom’s operating hours before locking the itinerary. October 6 disappearing from sale is a one-night sellout, not a park-wide closure—but for Tuesday travelers, it has eliminated the cheaper of their final two October choices.
