Credit: DisneyLocation is everything with an EPCOT fireworks package, and most of them get it wrong.
Luminous: The Symphony of Us happens over World Showcase Lagoon. That is the whole point. The show is built around the water, and the best views come from anywhere with a clear line of sight across it. Which is why a dining package that puts you inside a restaurant with no lagoon view has always been a bit of a hard sell. You get the meal. You get the guaranteed viewing spot. But you usually get up, leave the table, and go stand somewhere else to actually watch.
That changes with the newest offering, and that is why this one is worth paying attention to.
Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya in the Japan Pavilion has opened reservations for a fireworks dining package, and the restaurant’s position on the World Showcase promenade is close to ideal. Japan sits on the lagoon with elevation and open water in front of it. Guests dine with views of World Showcase Lagoon and then watch Luminous as part of the experience.
That combination is rarer than it should be.
What the EPCOT Package Includes
The meal is a curated, multi-part experience rather than a standard menu order.
Guests receive an appetizer, traditional sashimi, an extensive selection of sushi, and exclusive desserts and beverages available only with this package.
That last detail matters. Package-exclusive items mean you are not simply paying a premium for food you could order any other night. There is something on this menu you cannot get otherwise.
How It Works
The timing is structured tightly, so it helps to know the sequence before booking.
Luminous: The Symphony of Us runs at 9 p.m.
Guests arrive at Shiki-Sai at their designated check-in time, which falls 60 minutes prior to Luminous. The dining experience then continues through the show itself.
So you are looking at an 8 p.m. check-in for a 9 p.m. show, with the meal paced to carry you straight into the fireworks rather than rushing you out beforehand.
One important caveat. On rare occasions, the fireworks may be rescheduled or canceled, and the show is not guaranteed as part of the experience. That is standard language for every fireworks package on property, but it is worth reading twice before spending this kind of money on a single evening.
Pricing
Here is the full breakdown.
- Ages 10 and up: $120 per person, plus tax and gratuity, for a total of $149.50
- Ages 3 to 9: $60 per person, plus tax and gratuity, for a total of $74.70
Disney is publishing the all-in totals up front, which is genuinely useful and not always the case with these packages. The $149.50 figure is what actually hits your card.
For context, Shiki-Sai’s regular dinner menu falls within Disney’s $15 to $34.99 per-adult entrée range. This package sits well above that, which is expected for a fireworks experience, but worth knowing if you are weighing it against a standard reservation.
A family of two adults and two children costs roughly $448 before anything else. This is a splurge, and Disney is not pretending otherwise.
Booking for EPCOT
Reservations are open now and can be made online through the Walt Disney World dining site.
Standard cancellation and modification policies apply. The credit card provided at the time of reservation will be charged a per-person fee for a no-show or a cancellation outside the policy window. Policy details appear during booking and in the confirmation email.
Valid EPCOT admission is required, and a theme park reservation may be required based on admission type. A dining reservation does not guarantee park access.
What Shiki-Sai Actually Is
For anyone unfamiliar, this is not a new restaurant.
Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya replaced Tokyo Dining in the Japan pavilion in 2023. It is a casual dining, à la carte sushi bar and grill themed around Japan’s seasons and festivals, with sushi prepared behind the counter for guests of see.
The regular menu leans into izakaya-style dining with savory skewers, tempura, sushi rolls, and okonomiyaki. The restaurant also runs seasonal programming tied to Japanese festivals, with a cultural representative from Japan guiding guests through each one. Tanabata festivities in summer and moon-viewing dumplings in autumn are part of that rotation.
Regular hours run lunch from 12 p.m. to 3:55 p.m. and dinner from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Why This One Is Different
Most EPCOT dining packages are essentially a reserved spot with lunch or dinner included in advance.
This one keeps you at the table.
Japan’s placement on the promenade means the pavilion has long been a favorite viewing area for Luminous, and it gets crowded well before showtime. Turning that into a seated experience with a full sushi menu removes the part of the evening most people dislike: staking out a rail spot an hour early and holding it.
Whether that is worth $149.50 depends entirely on how you value not standing.
For a lot of guests, especially anyone visiting during Food & Wine when the promenade is at its busiest, that math is going to work out just fine.
